  • MCQUEEN DREAMS

I wish I could actually wear something like this. I find that McQueen tells a story with his pieces; these are not simply clothes, they are objects of art and intricacy trying to express an idea. Each work and each collection arouses a different emotion or train of thought. For example, the fantastic, supersized creations of 'Supercalifragalisticexpilalidocious' A/W 2002-2003, the animalistic, almost brutal 'It's a Jungle out There' A/W 1997-1998, the fututristic and playful 'It's only a Game' S/S 2005 and the ethereal 'Irere' of S/S 2003. One of my favourites has to be the 'Sarabande' collection of S/S 2007 for it's use of natural materials and feminine forms.
